A postpartum support app for a new mom and one trusted partner

Postpartum Hero is an iPhone postpartum app for a new mom and one trusted partner. In one private shared space, they can use check-ins, household tasks, concrete requests, and care notes to make everyday support easier to see and act on.

What does this postpartum support app do?

  • Shared check-ins: the new mom shares how she feels, with an optional note, and her trusted partner can see the update. Check-ins are for communication, not health monitoring.
  • Household tasks: both people use one shared list for practical work such as meals, supplies, laundry, and errands.
  • Concrete requests: a request can tell the partner what would help now. The app’s urgent flag is for high-priority household coordination, not medical urgency.
  • Care notes: the partner can send a short acknowledgment or personal note.
  • Quiet Hours: non-priority notifications wait during a chosen rest window; flagged requests are designed to pass through.
  • Private pairing: the new mom owns the shared Space and invites one trusted partner with a link or pairing code.

Who is Postpartum Hero for?

It is purpose-built for a new mother and the one trusted person in her corner—a romantic partner, parent, family member, or close friend. Its shared loop, language, and boundaries are designed around postpartum household support rather than general-purpose task management.

Today, Postpartum Hero is an iPhone app. There is no Android or web app. One subscription covers both paired people; browsing is available without a subscription, while check-ins, sending care, and tasks require access.

What it does not do

  • It does not diagnose, treat, monitor, assess, or screen for medical conditions.
  • It does not connect to a clinician or emergency service.
  • It cannot guarantee delivery, attention, or action on any notification.
  • It is not a substitute for professional care, a written care plan, postpartum appointments, or direct conversation.

How to decide if it is useful for you

  1. Choose the one person who will actively share responsibility.
  2. Agree which updates belong in the app and which need a call or face-to-face conversation.
  3. Write emergency and clinician contact details somewhere both people can access outside the app.
  4. Use the app for small repeatable loops: share → see → act → acknowledge.

Keep medical care separate

Postpartum Hero and its team are not doctors, healthcare providers, or healthcare workers. The app organizes communication and household support only. Take health concerns to a qualified health professional, and contact local emergency services in an emergency.

ACOG recommends postpartum care as an ongoing process tailored to the individual. An app cannot provide that care. Read ACOG’s postpartum care guidance.
